where is my mind

“It’s so hot out”, she said

I want to hike, to feel the earth against my feet, to wander….somewhere in British Columbia where the nights are cooler and the breeze is fresher.

And I want to go alone, just to be one with my thoughts, they keep me enough company as it is. I’m a ribbon on the inside, my many threads have voices and opinions of their own. In the everyday hustle they become frayed, disjointed, undone.

But nature, nature rebinds them, and like a maypole that are wondrously intertwined into a beautiful cohesive pattern. Myselves are one.
